KB385: Installing Moxie Suite on ARM-Based Windows Devices

Overview

This article explains how to install the Moxie Suite installer on ARM‑based Windows architectures (such as Windows on ARM devices).

Moxie Suite is largely composed of 64‑bit components; however, some essential Data Suite applications—including DataPipe Server, DataPipe Client, and XML Link—are provided as 32‑bit components. For ARM‑based Windows devices, Windows application emulation must be enabled to support these components during installation.

Once emulation is configured, the installer will run and install normally.  Without applying the following settings, DataSuite applications will error with the following reports:

Installation Instructions

Follow the steps below before launching the installer.

Step 1: Download the Installer

  2. Proceed through the installation wizard as normal.

  3. Complete the installation.

No additional configuration is required after installation.

  • No additional emulation settings are required post‑install.

Troubleshooting

Installer fails to start or exits immediately:

  • Confirm Safe emulation is selected under Compatibility → Emulation settings.

  • Ensure the installer is run after applying the compatibility change.
