KB377: How to delete a Moxie Player and recreate a similar Moxie Player

In the event you wish to delete a Moxie Player and recreate that Player with similar content, follow these steps for a quick method:

From the Studio:
  • Record the Player's assigned content if you wish to recreate the Player
  • Note any metadata or offsets
From the Player:
  • Close the Player
  • Stop all Moxie services
  • Rename the folder Programdata\omnivex to Programdata\omnivexold
  • Restart the Moxie services
From the Studio:
  • Remove the player from the System Manager
From the Player:
  • Start the Player
  • Connect the Player to the Data Server
From the Studio:
  • Locate the Player in the Player Manager
  • Reassign the content to the new Player
  • Reapply any offsets or metadata

These steps will allow you to delete an existing Moxie Player and rebuild a new Moxie Player in its place.
