Moxie 7.10 released

Omnivex released a new version of Moxie – 7.10.8913.1. Existing Moxie customers with AMS can upgrade to the new version.

This is the third version of Moxie 7.10; 7.10.8614.1 and 7.10.8731.2 were released last year. We recommend installing or upgrading to 7.10.8913.1, as this version included additional fixes. A summary of the new features and improvements is listed below.

NEW FEATURES IN 7.10.8614.1

  • Upgraded Chromium version (111.2.7) for web content
  • Player Manager now supports the ability to view local Player data, enabling you to see what data is being used by your Players
  • The licensing call home now uses HTTPS:// for better security
  • Data Manager now supports the deletion of players and applications from the system

NEW FEATURES IN 7.10.8731.2

Upgraded Chromium version (117) for web content. This version addresses the heap buffer overflow vulnerability in WebP

NEW FEATURES IN 7.10.8913.1

  • An upgraded Chromium version (119) for web content.
  • The ability to automate interactions (clicks, text entry, clearing fields, etc) with web content
  • The removal of Gecko and Internet Explorer web content options
  • Support for Ink's new multiple-schedule format when syncing content into Moxie
  • Support for syncing in files from Ink folders
  • The ability to copy current from a Player to their Player ID.
  • Ability to assign a script task to a Player ID

FIXES IN 7.10.8614.1

  • Image URLs in layouts are no longer being interpreted as a video stream
  • Invalid media streams no longer cause an exception
  • Number-type rules no longer being evaluated as strings
  • Layout-in-a-layout now reacts to changing data in a range when not sequencing
  • Playlist promotion and workspace import/export now support “&” character in name
  • Rules referencing cells containing data with “[“ or “]” no longer fail to evaluate
  • Videos with stretch setting set to “fill” now scale appropriately
  • Player configuration now being applied properly; DataPipe and Log Server assignments are respected, script tasks, spot content and scheduled transmissions are occurring as expected

FIXES IN 7.10.8731.2

  • Using the "does not contain" operator when creating a rule in Playlist Builder no longer causes an error
  • Fix to issue where, when using AAD for permissions in the MDSC, testing credentials failed to return the Group Name
